AI and psychology

Can we as doctors collaborate with to Al reduce the workload of a therapist by being an aid for deeper understanding of patient's psychology? I've been working with Al as an aid to work collaboratively for my patients. My quest was to understand my patients better as they were older than me and I was young. At that time it was a task for me to get into the shoes of my patients and to really empathise with their fears and worries. This was the time when Al came into my life. Initially I wasn't good with my phone doing my job but after sometime I got proficient. I would use the exact same words my patients would use and then ask Al to interpret it for me. This simple practice helped me deepen my understanding of what the circumstances might have been for my patients. I would ask a lot of questions to Al about the situation to get a grip of that situation. Soon after this I started noticing changes in my interaction with my patients which I believe is the reason I recomm...

Research

Can research in alternative medicine reduce the mortality and morbidity rate and if so how do we increase its effectiveness? Research paper and medical writing in general feel incredibly important because it's clear that language is going to be a terrain where a substantial part of fight is going to be about: what do you call this particular medicinal plant, can people use it, how much should they use it, does it cause toxic side effects. I think what AYUSH doctors can do or can try do is to use medical language with precision and care. We need our ancient systems to be more affluent in what they are ready to give. Now it depends on them if they want it to be vague words of wisdom or precise scientific reasoning. I am in my twenties and when I go to my hospital I feel this is what I lack as a doctor. It's not like I can't explain my treatment to my patients. It's just that sometimes I am not able to make my patients believe in my system of medicine.I'm interest...

On medicine and AI

I see a lot of development in the field of medicine by the use of artificial intelligence and we don't see a problem with a machine doing a doctor's job unless we realise the following: A doctor studies and develops the work ethic by sheer practice and years and years of it. It takes roughly seven plus years for a doctor to be where he/she is right now. I feel sad that a random Al tool can somehow replace a doctor! I find the success of social media in creating more misinformation than right knowledge phenomenonal!  One with low mood for a day can almost imagine themselves having depression. Thanks to the free information 3. Older literature in medicine survived because their kernels of insight and expression couldn't be replicated away just like the ghibli's art 4. Just like," The photographs of cathedral has no meaning without the cathedral itself." Similarly, no Al can ever match the experience of a doctor! 5. Symptoms help more in misdiagnosis than...
